The Serbian parliament will on Monday begin voting on 50 items on the agenda and some 3,000 amendments that were considered during the last session.

The Serbian parliament will on Monday begin voting on 50 items on the agenda and some 3,000 amendments that were considered during the last session. Due to the large number of bills and amendments, the voting should take at least two days. A new meeting of the regular session should begin on Wednesday, with almost 60 items on the proposed agenda. Parliament to begin voting on 50 items The last session began on March 30, and debates in principle and in detail on all legal proposals ended on May 5. During voting day, MPs will declare themselves on bills important for coordinating the domestic legislature with the European, and also on around 20 international agreements and conventions. The adopting of 16 bills that will regulate in detail and reform the area of environmental protection is also envisaged. One of the laws relates to the state symbols and their use, the flag, seal and anthem, while the law on political parties will mark the beginning of the reform of the political system. Parliament should also vote on bills in the area of the economy that envisage the stimulating of foreign-trade business operations, the development of tourism, a different system of organizing chambers of commerce, and a standardization of products in keeping with the conditions of the European Union (EU).
