A notebook that the Hague prosecution wants to use in its case against Jovica Stanisic was seized on Dec. 4, 2008. The notebook, now in the prosecution's possession, was found during a search of Hague fugitive Ratko Mladic's house in Belgrade. Hague wants Mladic notebook as evidence It contains details of meetings in 1995 that the former Bosnian Serb military leader had with Slobodan Milosevic and Stanisic – the Milosevic-era intelligence agency (DB) chief. The prosecution wants to use this as evidence in the trial that Stanisic and his deputy Franko Simatovic are due to stand before the Hague Tribunal. B92 has learned from its Hague sources that the indicted general's handwritten quotes and details from the meetings were found in the notebook. The Hague Prosecution has stated that the writings "show clearly that Stanisic was the coordinator of various ranks of the joint criminal enterprise". The notebook allegedly ties him to Zeljko Raznatovic Arkan's men in Erdut, eastern Croatia, and Scorpions paramilitaries stationed in Djeletovci. The crimes committed by these two groups are among the charges in the prosecution's indictment against Stanisic. The Hague prosecution also claims to be in possession of other notebooks "likely belonging to Mladic", and a large number of videos depicting meetings and celebrations that he attended. The Stanisic/Simatovic trial will open at the Hague Tribunal on May 25.
