President Boris Tadic says no one is above the law, and that his Democratic Party (DS) will prove the driving force in the struggle against organized crime. “So that no-one’s left in any doubt, all the other parties too will come under scrutiny. No-one’s above the law,” Tadic underlined. Tadic: No hiding place for criminals He said that this was the only way to build a secure society for Serbian citizens that could attract new investment. “If we in the DS have shown this, then the same goes for members of all the other parties,” Tadic warned. The president added that all institutions in Serbia had to work on combating organized crime, corruption and all other irregularities. He added that he expected parliament to adopt the Vojvodina Statute “very quickly.” “As far as I know, the Law on Vojvodina’s Jurisdictions is in the works and there are no particular problems, the entire discussion is winding down and I think it will move very quickly,” Tadic said.
