State Secretary in the Kosovo Ministry Oliver Ivanovic says that he does not expect any problems during the EULEX deployment in northern Kosovo. "The EULEX deployment will not be prevented by anyone throughout Kosovo, but both in the north and in other areas populated by Serbs, the deployment will be very slow, even cautious in the early stages,” Ivanovic told Novi Sad daily Dnevnik. Kosovo Ministry: No problems expected He said that EULEX members were aware that in majority-Serb areas they would have to overcome the negative image that follows them. The state secretary said that since the mission had become acceptable for officials in Belgrade, it could become acceptable for the Kosovo Serbs too. "We just need to give them more time to realize that EULEX means no ill, and that the mission is status neutral, which should bring stability and peace to all,” said Ivanovic, adding that the mission was not an “Albanian supporter.”
