Dačić: Serbia intent on EU integration

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said today that the government was doing everything in its power to arrest the remaining Hague fugitives. Dacic was attending a summit of the Central European Initiative in Moldova, along with 18 heads of government from Initiative member-states. Dacic: Serbia intent on EU integration He said that the government in Serbia was doing its utmost to complete its obligations to the Hague Tribunal and speed up the country’s European integration process. “I want to assure you that the institutions of the Republic of Serbia are decisively taking all measures to find and arrest all the remaining Hague fugitives. We expect the EU to unfreeze the implementation of the interim agreement as soon as possible, thus opening the path for hastening Serbia’s integration process and becoming a candidate for European Union membership in 2009,” Dacic said. It was earlier announced that Moldova’s priority at the summit would be accelerating the European integration of all members still outwith the EU.
