Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic told B92 TV this evening that he expects the UN Security Council to approve a report on UNMIK's reconfiguration. The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's Kosovo plan will also, if approved, enable for EU's EULEX mission to deploy in the province. Kosovo report, "proof of Serbia's success" Bodganovic stressed that it is important for the UN to accept what has been determined in negotiations with Belgrade – the six points necessary for the Serbs living in Kosovo, and the return of those driven out of their homes. He said that the UN SC decision would demonstrate respect for Serbia's territorial integrity in Kosovo and prove that Serbia and her diplomacy "have been successful". "We rejected Pristina's four points because it was unclear in what way Serbs might survive in Kosovo and improve their lives. Pristina asked the Serbs to respect Kosovo's constitution and independence, which is unacceptable," the minister said. Bogdanovic added that the Ahtisaari plan on Kosovo's supervised independence is now being "swept under the carpet", and continued to say that this prompted the Kosovo Albanian leadership to put forward the so-called four-point plan. "They fear losing what they have declared unilaterally. They are aware that they do not have independence, and that doesn't only mean a UN chair. They do not have institutions that could guarantee what they have declared," Bogdanovic told B92.
