Kosovo Albanian officials have once again on Tuesday rejected the so-called six point plan for UNMIK's reconfiguration. The document, which is yet to be made public, was circulated to the UN Security Council members in New York on Monday. K. Albanians still refusing Ban plan Belgrade earlier agreed to this document, that will be presented in UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's report on Kosovo, allowing UNMIK to reconfigure and EULEX to deploy. But Kosovo Premier Hashim Thaci told the assembly in Pristina today that the plan is "unacceptable, and cannot be implemented in Kosovo". "Kosovo's institutions have supported and welcomed the presence of EULEX, with which we will cooperate closely. EULEX will be deployed in Kosovo in the manner envisaged by the Kosovo constitution the Ahtisaari plan and the EU mandate," he was quoted as saying. "UN Resolution 1244 is absolutely unimportant and without significance for our sovereign country. We, as Kosovo's institutions, will adhere to and realize Kosovo's constitution and other laws adopted by the Kosovo assembly," Thaci said. "The status of Kosovo has been solved and this is a closed issue. Kosovo is an independent, sovereign and democratic country since February 17, 2008. And it will stay that way forever," Thaci reassured the assembly deputies.
