Ex-PM denounces cooperation with Socialists He describes the declaration as an act that is "exceptionally harmful for the DS", and expects it to be scrapped. "It is immoral to equate those who have been destroying the state of Serbia and our nation, with us – the Democrats, who have saved the state and citizens from a certain destruction precisely with our victory over the SPS regime," Zivkovic said. He also pointed out that the controversial declaration was signed in violation of the DS statute. "This act is in utter violation of the statute, since Article 27 says that 'only the Democratic Party Assembly is empowered to adopt declarations and determine guidelines and stances," he continued Zivkovic told the newspaper that he expects to receive support for this from all the party members who respect the statute, "and there are many such members".
