The Kosovo Albanian authorities have no concrete plan to stop the "administrative partition", Albanian language daily Koha Ditore writes today. All institutional and political factors have reacted against this proposal, the Pristina newspaper says it its report, but the government has no concrete ideas on how to spread its authority to the Serb-dominated north of Kosovo. "Pristina has no solution for north" "The Kosovo government's position in unchanged and we support EULEX to spread to the whole territory of Kosovo without any conditioning," spokesman Memli Krasniqi was quoted as saying. But just as Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, he mentioned no specific steps to be undertaken to prevent the so-called administrative partition. "The government will do everything possible, within the constitution and the Ahtisaari plan, which is an international plan, and everything envisaged by that plan will be implemented," Krasniqi continued. Several days ago, a former premier, Agim Ceku, suggested use of force as one way to spread the authority of the Pristina institutions, but they themselves rejected that option. "This is not a serious proposal. Beside the Ahtisaari plan, there is no need for other suggestions," Krasniqi said. Since a leaked report about an alleged UN plan to partition Kosovo "administratively", the daily writes, the political scene has mobilized to find ways to oppose this, and "implement Kosovo's constitution" in the north, too. The opposition parties have criticized the government for "not doing enough to spread its authority in the north of Kosovo".
