MPs have adopted a series of laws required for European integration, tackling corruption, while the Higher Education Law has also been changed. The data protection law has been adopted, one of the conditions for Serbian accession to the Schengen white list, as has the Law on Foreigners and the Law on the Protection of State Frontiers. MPs adopt raft of new laws A number of anti-corruption laws have been adopted, while the Higher Education Law was changed so that students can enter their next year of education more easily. Of most interest to the public is the set of laws necessary for putting Serbia on to the Schengen white list. The set of anti-corruption measures includes the Law on the Seizure of Assets Acquired through Criminal Enterprise, the Law on Legal Entities’ Liability for Criminal Acts, the Law on the Anti-Corruption Agency, as well as changes and annexes to the Law on Political Parties’ Sources of Funding. Parliament adopted four international financial agreements worth around EUR 180mn for infrastructure projects, including the Belgrade bypass, repairs to the Gazela Bridge, construction of 500 flats, and improving ecology in the vicinity of thermo-power plants.
