The head of Serbia’s legal team objects to the decision to invite the Kosovo Albanians to take part in the ICJ case on the province’s independence declaration. Coordinator of Serbia's legal team Sasa Obradovic said late on Tuesday that in the next few days, the team would file a petition with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) stating that Serbia deemed the participation of the Kosovo Albanians unacceptable. "K. Albanian participation at ICJ unacceptable" The Hague-based International Court of Justice stated on Tuesday that it would be inviting the representatives of the temporary Kosovo institutions to take part in the debate which, upon Serbia's request, would be conducted on the legality of the province’s unilaterally declared independence. “The Court's decision has been carefully formulated, because the body refers to the temporary Kosovo institutions as the authors of the declaration (on Kosovo independence), which is very important, because, in doing that, it does not prejudge its advisory opinion in any way whatsoever,” Obradovic told Serbian Radio Television (RTS). Obradovic said that ICJ rules in respect to the advisory opinion were minimal and that the Court had a discretionary right to decide who to invite to participate in cases.
