The neo-Nazis organizations, “Blood and Honor” and “National Formation”, whose members have been found guilty of propagating national and racial hatred, are planning a march in Belgrade on October 11. According to the Law on Public Gatherings, the police must be notified of any marches five days in advance and rallies staying in one place two days in advance. A similar rally was due to be held last year in Novi Sad on October 7, but the police prohibited it. As a sign of protest, several NGOs held an anti-Fascist rally on the same day, which led to clashes between them and Neo-Nazi groups. Four people were hurt in the clashes and 56, mainly members of the extremist groups, were taken into custody. On the Facebook social networking site, a group of several thousand people have come out in protest against next Sunday’s neo-Nazi rally, while Liberal Democratic Party leader Cedomir Jovanovic has called on police to prohibit the rally.
