United Serbia leader Dragan Markovic, a.k.a. Palma, says he and his Socialists counterpart will "lead Serbia to Europe together". Markovic, who is also the mayor of Jagodina, spoke in a local ceremony, attended by SPS President Ivica Dacic. Palma: With Dacic, to Europe The two parties are allied in a pre-election coalition that also includes the Associated Pensioners Party (PUPS). "The SPS leader will go to Europe, and lead Serbia to Europe", he told several thousand residents gathered to celebrate local football's club promotion to the Superliga competition. Markovic then asked the crowd "to salute Europe with a special applause".
