Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic will arrive on a two-day official visit to Colombia today, reports said last night. Jeremic, DS, will attend a session of the Organization of American States (OAS) there. America The meeting, set to gather top officials from all of the north, central and south American countries, will hear the foreign minister convey Serbia's stand and disapproval of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo. Jeremic will also speak about the possible consequences such an act of violation of international law could have in the field of security in the world, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued in Belgrade. While in Colombia, Jeremic will also have separate bilateral meetings with OAS Secretary General Jose Miguel Insulza, as well as with the foreign ministers of the countries that will take part in the summit, the statement added. Of the 35 OAS member states, only the United States, Canada, Peru and Costa Rica have recognized the ethnic Albanians' Feb. 17 proclamation, an act Serbia considers illegal.
