President and DS presidential candidate Boris Tadic spoke to students in Belgrade today. Ahead of his Feb. 3 showdown in the polls with Radical Tomislav Nikolic, the leader of the Democrats (DS) sent a message to the youth that they will have to choose between the European road that he leads the country toward, or the return to the time of isolation and economic regression under the rule of Vojislav Seselj and his party deputy Nikolic. Tadic calls on youth to vote for European future “My program is the only safe path that can bring stability to Serbia and a better future to all our people, while Seselj's radical path is a that of clashes, isolation and economic regression,” Tadic told a gathering at the National Theater. The incumbent president pointed out that he would not allow the young people today to go through what the previous generation had experienced in the 1990s. “You are young and you may not remember the rule of the Radicals and the misfortune it brought to Serbia, and it is good that you do not know this…I will do my best so that you never suffer such hardships," Tadic said.
