Ilic holds election rally in Kraljevo “Having given the matter a great deal of thought, I decided to stand in a time of trouble and strife, as I was waiting to see whether Russia would support us in the Security Council. And they did. Thanks for that,” said Ilic at a rally in Kraljevo. The New Serbia leader said last night that powerful foreign services had set citizens at loggerheads with each other by forming political parties. “Two irreconcilable camps were formed that are standing at the presidential elections with two candidates. One as the saviour, one as darkness. We’re not in that company. Serbia has a third road – both European and national,” he said. The rally was also attended by members of the local branch of the Democratic Party of Serbia, which announced its support for Ilic earlier today. Velimir Ilic (FoNet, archive)
