Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic will leave Wednesday evening for a two-day visit to Russia. Jeremic's discussions with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov will focus on the Kosovo status issue, Tanjug has learned at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Belgrade. Russia presses for more talks; FM in Moscow Thursday Meanwhile, official Moscow announced, ahead of Jeremic's visit, that negotiations on the future status of Kosovo should continued under UN auspices until a mutually acceptable outcome is found, in keeping with the stipulations of international law, including the principles of sovereignty and territorial wholeness of states, and UN Security Council Resolution 1244. The Russian Foreign Ministry specified that "the crucial task of Jeremic's talks in Moscow was a comparison of Russian and Serbian approach to the settlement of the Kosovo issue, and an exchange of views on the prospects that the process had at this decisive stage."
