A union official says that the Judiciary Union is likely to stop work completely soon. “It is a question of hours for when the union will make the decision, because there were no adequate reactions to our warnings for too long a period of time,” the union president, Slavica Zivanovic, told B92. Judiciary threatens full-on strike The union is calling for wages to be increased by 100 percent. Judiciary employees have monthly wages ranging in between RSD 9,200 and RSD 17,000 (about EUR 115 and EUR 220). “The government did not try to offer use something we would even by able to negotiate over,” Zivanovic said, adding that the union is united in its intentions to halt work completely, despite the statement of the president of the Kragujevac branch of the union, Miladin Dzajevic, who said that a 100 percent wage increase is not possible and that a better compromise should be sought. Zivanovic said that the judiciary union has been forced into a strike and that the members of the union "would like to apologize to the citizens who will suffer the consequences of the strike."
