Macedonia’s prime minister on Thursday backed a UN plan that would grant Kosovo supervised independence.

Gruevski and Kosovo prime minister Agim Ceku agreed that Kosovo and Macedonia were "a model for co-operation and positive development", according to a statement from Ceku`s office.“Kosovo and Macedonia are building peace together. I assured Mr. Gruevski that an independent Kosovo would be a factor of stability in the region,” Ceku told reporters.
Gruevski, who was visiting Kosovo to discuss bilateral relations between Kosovo and Macedonia, also met with Kosovo’s president Fatmir Sejdiu and UN chief administrator for the province, Joachim Ruecker.
