As for Serbia’s co-operation with the Hague, Scheffer said that NATO wanted to develop its relations with Serbia within the framework of the Partnership for Peace program and still insisted on the importance of meeting all the Tribunal's demands.

“We must always remember that the full co-operation with The Hague is necessary and cannot be avoided. I hope that the new government will assign priority to the Hague issue. So far we have seen only certain action plans on paper – lots of planning, but little action. That needs be changed,” Scheffer maintained.
