Unofficially, the DSS-New Serbia coalition will send Dragan Jočić, Jovan Palalić from DSS a and Miroslav Markićević from New Serbia to the talks. The same delegation spoke on behalf of the coalition during the consultations at the office of the Serbian president.

New Serbia spokeswoman Dubravka Filipovski could not officially corroborate the information. She told B92 that a high-level meeting of the party would make the final decision. B92 found out off-the-record that DSS also plans to hold a high-level meeting on Thursday, which could mean that the talks cannot begin before Friday.

G17 Plus presidency member Vladimir Ilić said his party had not yet received an invitation to the second round of talks. “In addition to insisting on the urgent formation of the new Cabinet, G17 Plus is prepared to take on a constructive role in the talks. If we are not invited to the negotiations, we are also ready for a role in the opposition”.

The early stages of the second round of cabinet talks will address political programs and leave cabinet personnel talks for later.

Dinkić: Koštunica stands a better chance than Đelić

G17 Plus president Mlađan Dinkić said that, in principle, he was comfortable with the Democratic Party getting the prime minister’s office, but noted that in practice there is no indication that Božidar Đelić can garner the required majority in Parliament.

„If Đelić was able to get this support, President Boris Tadić would already have nominated him as the mandatary for the new government“, Dinkić told Avala TV station.

Dinkić said that Koštunica stood a much better chance of being the mandatary than Đelić at this point. „If Tadić was the mandatary, he would surely get the needed support“, Dinkić said.
