BBC analyst: Serbia will beat Switzerland

Sutton is predicting the outcome of all 64 matches in Qatar and before the tournament, he picked his two teams to go through from each group and reach the knockout stage.

Former English striker Chris Sutton believes that the Serbian national team will advance to the knockout phase of the World Cup.

The former football player of Norwich, Blackburn, Chelsea, Celtic, Birmingham and Aston Villa, who once wore the "proud-spirited Albion" jersey, believes that Serbia will celebrate on Friday with 2:1 against Switzerland.

"Switzerland came out on top when these teams met at the 2018 World Cup but Serbia need to win this time to make the last 16, and I think they will win. Statman Dave had Serbia as his dark horses at this tournament and he knows his football inside out. There's no way he will get this one wrong - but, if he does, I will lose some faith in him", Sutton wrote to BBC.

The English forward also expects Croatia to beat Belgium 3:1 in the last round and thus pass the group. He is also convinced that South Korea will shock Portugal with 1:0, and Tunisia will resist France with 1:1.

How successful are Sutton's forecasts? In the matches of the third round in groups A and B, he hit three of the four results in the goal.

He failed only in the match between Ecuador and Senegal, where he correctly predicted that it would be 2:1, but for the wrong team.
