Djokovic lost Paris title after dramatic third set!
Serbian tennis player failed to celebrate for the seventh time in Bercy, where he suffered defeat in the trophy match only against Karen Khachanov four years ago.This was Rune's third final in three weeks. He won Stockholm, while he suffered a defeat in Basel.
He performed well against a favored rival, who had a set advantage and three break points, however, Holger showed maturity and indomitable spirit.
He played the second set well, won it, had a break behind in the decider, but even that didn't stop him from making the match a drama. He withstood the pressure, and then in the 12th game of the third set he reached the deciding break by winning four points in a row. This is his third title in the season, in general in his career, after those in Munich and the aforementioned Stockholm.
Rune reached the cup, but also the 10th place on the ATP list, by saving six break points in the game in which he served for the match. He took advantage of his second chance and achieved the biggest triumph of his career.
