Australian Open confirmed: Djokovic first seed
Djokovic arrived in Melbourne in the middle of last week after receiving a medical exemption from the vaccination against the coronavirus, and his visa was revoked immediately upon his arrival, after which he was accommodated in a hotel that serves as a reception center for migrants. The Federal Court in Melbourne then passed a verdict on Monday, which annulled the decision of the Australian Government on the abolition of visas, and Djokovic went to training at Rod Laver Arena immediately after his release.
However, the Serbian tennis player could be deported in the coming days, if such a decision is made by the Minister of Immigration there.
Djokovic has won 20 Grand Slam titles in his career so far, the same number as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, so with his 10th title in Melbourne, he could become the most successful tennis player in terms of the number of titles in the biggest tournaments.
