Macedonia and Belgium sign social security agreement

According to the statement, Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Miloshoski, and his Belgian counterpart Karel De Gucht put their signatures on the Agreement, aimed at improving and facilitating the mutual co-operation in this field as well as at regulating the inter-state relations in the social security area in compliance with the latest European standards.

The two Ministers also discussed the possibilities of accelerated integration of Macedonia into the EU and NATO, the statement says.

The interlocutors expressed content with the good bilateral relations between the two countries and voiced interest for further deepening of the same, especially in terms of the economic co-operation.

Miloshoski and De Gucht reviewed the latest measures of the Macedonian Government, focused on the creation of more favorable conditions for fresh foreign investments.

Macedonia's reforms in the areas of public administration, battle against corruption and organized crime, judiciary, education and healthcare were also attended to during the talks.
