Ex-federal MUP building sold

Total Holiday representative Žarko Pavlović said that the full price will be paid ahead of the legal deadline, while reconstruction works are set to begin after the company acquires necessary building permits.

The downtown complex was badly damaged during the NATO bombing campaign in 1999.

Assistant Property Directorate head Srboljub Panić said the state was satisfied that the contract was signed, and expressed hope the process has now concluded, after four tender procedures.

The starting price in the fourth tender was EUR 28.8mn. Plaza Centers PPM submitted the highest bid of EUR 35.4mn, only to drop out of the race, making way for Total Holiday to buy the complex.
