Boost in milk production

The project involves 40 modernized household cattle farms in the territory of Vršac, Alibunar, Bela Crkva, Kovin, Opovo, Pančevo, Plandište and Zrenjanin, Ćosić said. “The project includes 1400 cows on 40 farms, with overall production exceeding 10 million liters of milk per annum”, said Ćosić, adding that the program should demonstrate the profitability of milk production under professional business treatment.

The project is sponsored by the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, the Faculty of Veterinary Science in Belgrade, the Veterinary Institute in Novi Sad, "Agrozavod" Vršac, "Agrozavod" Zrenjanin and the Tamiš Insitute in Pančevo.
