The appeals court in Colmar, France will most likely postpone the decision on Serbia's extradition request for Ramush Haradinaj until a further hearing.

French court "likely to postpone decision on Haradinaj"

Tanjug reported it was told this on Tuesday by the court's spokesperson Sandra di Rosa.

Thursday's session will address the response of the Serbian Justice Ministry to queries from the court, Di Rosa explained.

The Serbian ministry last month sent additional documents to France that it received from the Serbian War Crimes Prosecution. The prosecution is in charge of investigating Haradinaj, an ethnic Albanian politician from Kosovo and a former leader of the KLA ("Kosovo Liberation Army"), for war crimes.

In a statement for AFP, Haradinaj, who claims that the extradition request for him is "unfounded," said he doubted France would decide on it on Thursday.

He said that "it could take two weeks or more" - but that he did not think the court would end up sending him to Belgrade to stand trial.
