LSV party leader cleared of bodily harm charges

The Basic Court in Novi Sad has declared Nenad Canak not guilty of endangering Pavle Lesanovic's safety and inflicting light injuries to him during a fight.

LSV party leader cleared of bodily harm charges

Canak was alleged to have been accompanied by his security when he battered Lesanovic, who previously directed a series of insults at him.

The prosecution asked for a guilty verdict and eight months in prison, two years suspended sentence, while the defense sought the acquittal of their client.

Both Canak and the prosecution can appeal today's ruling.
