Unknown perpetrators late on Tuesday night set on fire the car of the Gracanica hospital director, and left a threatening note at this door.

Kosovo: Hospital director threatened, his car torched

Milanovic then discovered a threatening note left at the front door that he is "quite certain" has a political background.

Milanovic also told Tanjug the incident would not make him quit his job.

Gracanica Mayor Vladeta Kostic meanwhile said he would "do everything in his power" so that the recent attacks against Gracanica municipality's political representatives and officials from Donja Gusterica are solved as soon as possible.

He explained that last night's incident was the third such attack, noting he was not satisfied with the way Kosovo police reacted to the previous two, and adding the municipality "will take measures and alarm all institutions."

Kostic said the incidents in Donja Gusterica "spread fear, especially among the Gracanica municipality employees," adding, "this must end, and perpetrators brought to justice."

A Kosovo police team investigated the scene last night.
