A 33-year-old police officer named as D.M. late on Thursday shot and killed his father in their family home in Zemun's Altina neighborhood.

The shooting was reported by citizens who heard it. The victim's body was found on the ground floor. The police had the house surrounded, assuming that their colleague had locked himself upstairs.About 45 minutes later they broke into the house, but did not find D.M. there.
According to RTS, the victim and his son quarreled over the house they both lived in.
A police car that the suspect drove was was found parked in front of the house. Weapons were also found in the car, but it is not known yet if they were used during the incident.
