Taxi driver, eyewitness shot dead in Belgrade

The body of Cira Treneski, a 41-year-old taxi driver, was found on Thursday evening in the Padinska Skela suburb of Belgrade.

Taxi driver, eyewitness shot dead in Belgrade

The second victim has been identified as 39-year-old M.C. Both men have been shot multiple times, and the police believe the two cases are connected, the Belgrade-based daily Blic is reporting.

A source told the newspaper that M.C. "stopped to see what was happening" as two attackers had already murdered the taxi driver. The killers then shot him as well, and drove off in his car.

The Serbian Interior Ministry (MUP) said they were working to solve the case.
