Man found dismembered in a Belgrade garage

The Belgrade media identified the victim as Drago Masulovic, a business owner, who was last seen on Thursday.

The victim's limbs have been severed from the body, and have not been recovered at the scene. It is unclear whether he died before or after the dismemberment, and the cause of death will be determined in an autopsy.

The media speculate that money was the motive for the murder, and that Masulovic knew his killer or killers and let them into the garage, which he used as a storage facility for his business.

The daily Vecernje Novosti writes that with the brutal murder, "somebody was undoubtedly trying to send a message," while the police are now "trying to determine to whom."

"It is not clear when he was murdered and forensic experts should provide an answer to that question. We are trying to determine if this happened on Thursday, when he was last seen, or later. I don't remember a crime like this occurring in Belgrade. Somebody cut off another man's arms and legs in cold blood," a source close to the investigation has been quoted by the newspaper.
