Serbia's legal limit is 0.3 mg/ml.

The 61-year-old, who was not harmed during the accident, also received 16 penalty points - two short of the maximum 18.

The news comes after four young men lost their lives in two separate accidents in Serbia over the weekend, caused by excessive speeding. In the town of Begec, three men aged between 22 and 24 died in a car that was moving at 170 kilometers per hour before it crashed.

The traffic police announced recently that fewer lives were lost on Serbia's roads so far this year compared to 2013.

However, a working group set up by the government to amend the Traffic Safety Law last week announced its proposals, mostly related to ways to protect young drivers.

Lawmakers will be recommended to proscribe introduce a midnight to 6 a.m. curfew for drivers under the age of 21 and limit their vehicles' horsepower to 76 per ton.
