Hague decision on Šešelj "in next few days"

"We had in mind all the aspects of the problem and we have indicated our concern about Šešelj's health. We reiterated the decision reached in July in which we expressed our readiness to give guarantees not only in this but in all other cases when it comes to our citizens who have voluntarily surrendered to the Hague," Ljajić told reporters in the town of Krupanj.

He reiterated that the government "could do nothing more" and that it was now up to Šešelj to agree to comply with the conditions set for his release - something he has so far refused.

"The willingness of the government is there and we now await a decision of the Trial Chamber of the Tribunal. We expect to receive it in the next day or two," Ljajić said.

The Hague Tribunal on Wednesday asked Holland and Serbia to state their position on a possible provisional release of the leader of the Serb Radical Party, who is ill with cancer.
