Train driver arrested after 4 die in collision
Four persons died on Sunday on the Zaječar-Negotin railroad in eastern Serbia when a train struck a passenger vehicle.

The train driver, whom the police identified as K.S. in their statement, was placed in custody on suspicion that he endangered the safety of traffic participants.The statement issued in Zaječar specified that he "did not stop the train at the crossing although he had a written order to do so, considering the crossing was unsafe."
According to available information of Sunday, the gate to the crossing was closed when the accident took place.
This was the third accident that took place at railroad crossings this year. Serbian Railways have said that the most common cause are "other traffic participants."
