Customs and police seize "300,000 cigarettes"
The cigarettes were found in a truck with Kladovo license plates that was traveling to Romania with a legal load of marble dust. Most of the seized cigarettes, which the statement said were "Marble and Ashima" brands, had no excise stamps. For that reason, authorities believe they were "taken over directly from the factory."
Another brand, "Monte", was also found in the truck, but those had excise stamps.
The case has been taken over by justice authorities, who will also determine the value of the confiscated goods, the ministry said.
