BELGRADE In the country-wide Operation Thunderbolt, 21 kilograms of drugs were seized, 124 persons were arrested and 70 remanded in custody in a single day. This was announced by Serbian Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac, who on Wednesday said that the operation is still ongoing. 180 criminal charges, 21 kilos of drugs seized "By order of relevant prosecution authorities, the police have searched 900 locations and so far brought 180 criminal charges. About one hundred more will be launched over the next few days, which will increase the number of defendants to over 270," explained Dolovac. On Friday between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., a total of 310 seizures were made, resulting in a total of seven kilograms of heroin, five kilograms of cocaine, a substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition, and one illicit drug laboratory, said Dolovac. She noted that Operation Thunder was based on the decision of the Security Agency Coordination Bureau and conducted in the entire territory of Serbia. "The state has shown serious determination to confront drug dealers.
