Former minister indicted in corruption case

BELGRADE The Office of the Organized Crime Prosecutor raised on Thursday an indictment against former Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo. The indictment also refers to seven of his associates. Former minister indicted in corruption case The group is suspected of abuse of office during the sale of government-owned shares of the company Luka Beograd (Port of Belgrade) to Worldfin from Luxembourg, owned by Milan Beko. They are suspected of incurring over EUR 5.7 million in losses to the government, prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic told reporters in Belgrade, adding that his office had requested that Bubalo, Goran Mrdja and Miodrag Djordjevic remain in custody. Besides Bubalo, the indictment includes Privatization Agency Executive Director Miodrag Djordjevc and Goran Mrdja, Director of Capital Market Center Aleksej Misailovic, head of the Share Fund Aleksandar Gracanac, Share Fund Director of the Sector for Analysis, Preparation and Organization of Sales Jasmina Dragutinovic, former director of Luka Beograd Miroslav Drobac and former financial director of Luka Beograd Dusan Kosovac. Bubalo and his associates were arrested on June 14. Former minister indicted in corruption case

The group is suspected of abuse of office during the sale of government-owned shares of the company Luka Beograd (Port of Belgrade) to Worldfin from Luxembourg, owned by Milan Beko.
