BELGRADE Serbian Police Director Milorad Veljovic says that the investigation against the fugitive suspected narco boss Darko Saric is "still ongoing." According to Veljovic, "it would be in everyone's interest if he were to be found and brought to justice." Suspected drug boss "should surrender, tell us what he did" The police official then added: "I have claimed this before and I still claim that it would be best for Saric to come of his own accord and explain everything that he did." Veljovic added that "the police are acting on the orders of the prosecution." He was at the Palace of Serbia on Thursday, where a regional conference of police chiefs was held, when he was asked about the progress in the investigation against Saric. Asked about "the case of Misa Banana," i.e., Rodoljub Radulovic, and former cabinet chief of PM Ivica Dacic, Branko Lazarevic - who was mentioned as having ties to Saric - Veljovic responded by saying that the police "also acted on the orders of the prosecution in that part as well." "When it comes to Branko Lazarevic, we are working on that case in cooperation with the Organized Crime Prosecution, and after the prosecutorial investigation came into effect the police investigation will act on the orders of the prosecution."
