A 29-year-old woman, who was shot in front of a cafe in Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade last night, has passed away in the Emergency Center.

BELGRADE A 29-year-old woman, who was shot in front of a cafe in Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade last night, has passed away in the Emergency Center. The woman, identified as T.R., was shot in the stomach by a stray bullet. Belgrade: Woman hit by stray bullet dies According to the Serbian police, the incident happened at 22:35 on Sunday when an unknown person fired shots from a pistol at another unidentified man, but instead fatally injuring the woman, who was a guest in the cafe. The Belgrade-based daily Blic is reporting unofficially that several shots had been fired, and that the shooting took place in front of a club where "a private party was held to celebrate the birth of a child." Meanwhile the newspaper Vecrenje Novosti writes that "three young men" engaged in an altercation and then a fight, and that they "disappeared without a trace after the unfortunate shot was fired." According to these reports, the victim was not involved in the incident that preceded the shooting in any way.
