Beta news agency has reported that ethnic Albanians fired at Serbs who were cleaning the river bank in Kosovska Mitrovica on Wednesday. Media in Kosovo have, on the other hand, reported that it was Serbs who attacked the Albanians and that three people were injured. They say that the attacked people were U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) employees. Contradictory information regarding shooting in K. Kosovo Police Regional Spokesman Besim Hoti has stated that three workers sustained minor injuries on Wednesday morning when they were physically attacked by a group of unidentified persons. Kosovo police confirmed earlier today that the incident had taken place but stated that nobody was injured. Situation at the Jarinje administrative checkpoint is peaceful today and KFOR troops have reinforced the barricades on the alternative road that was built by local Serbs and which connects Leposavic and central Serbia.
