Former JSO members to be questioned

Four Special Operations Unit (JSO) members suspected of taking part in the 2001 mutiny will be questioned by a Special Court investigative judge late Thursday. This is according to Special Court Spokeswoman Maja Kovacevic. Former JSO members to be questioned “After the hearing, the judge will decide whether to launch an investigation against them or keep them in detention,” she added. Former JSO assistant commander in charge of counterintelligence Veselin Lecic, Gendarmerie officer Mica Petrakovic and member of the Gendermerie Anti-Terrorist Unit Vladimir Potic and pensioner Dragoslav Krsmanovic were arrested on Tuesday. Apart from the four arrested persons, the investigation into the JSO mutiny in November 2001 will also involve Milorad Ulemek, Dusko Maricic and Zvezdan Jovanovic, Serbian Organized Crime Prisecutor Miljko Radisavljevic told Tanjug on Wednesday. “The prosecution will file a request for a probe against them on suspicion of taking part in the armed rebellion,” Radisavljevic added. Ulemek, Jovanovic and Maricic are presently at the Pozarevac prison, where they are serving decades long sentences for the assassination of Serbia's Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic and other crimes . Former JSO assistant commander in charge of counterintelligence Veselin Lečić, Gendarmerie officer Mića Petraković and member of the Gendermerie Anti-Terrorist Unit Vladimir Potić and pensioner Dragoslav Krsmanović were arrested on Tuesday.

Apart from the four arrested persons, the investigation into the JSO mutiny in November 2001 will also involve Milorad Ulemek, Duško Maričić and Zvezdan Jovanović, Serbian Organized Crime Prisecutor Miljko Radisavljević told Tanjug on Wednesday.
