Two killed in drive-by shooting in Belgrade

Danilo Radonjic and Dzenan Ramovic were killed in a shooting in the Belgrade neighborhood of Zemun last night. Police Director Milorad Veljovic told B92 that the murder was “neither usual nor accidental” and that it was a contract killing. Two killed in drive-by shooting in Belgrade “We do not want blood to return to Belgrade streets and some years that are far behind us. The citizens need to feel safe and we are obligated to provide them that,” he pointed out. The police director confirmed that Radonjic had been known to the police for a long time, adding that he was from the Montenegrin town of Bar but that he lived in Belgrade. Radonjic and Ramovic were killed when so far unknown assailants shot at their Mercedes from a moving car. The attackers fired 20 shots before they drove away. Radonjic and Ramovic’s car kept moving and crashed into a car carrying a man, a woman and a child who sustained minor injuries.
