"No charges against Vukovar hospital director"

Serbia has denied the allegations that the War Crimes Prosecution filed charges against Vesna Bosanac, the Vukovar hospital director during the war in 1991.

Serbia has denied the allegations that the War Crimes Prosecution filed charges against Vesna Bosanac, the Vukovar hospital director during the war in 1991. According to Radio Free Europe, HDZ MP Andrija Hebrang told the Croatian television (HRT) that the State's Attorney's Office in Zagreb had received charges Bosanac which had been forwarded form Belgrade. "No charges against Vukovar hospital director" Serbian Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor Bruno Vekaric told Radio Free Europe that only a request for further questioning of Bosanac as a witness in a number of war crimes related proceedings which are conducted in Belgrade had been sent to Zagreb, adding that there was no iota of truth in Hebrang's claims. “We only wanted her to be questioned as a witness and citizen, in terms of reviewing four cases in order to reach prosecutorial decisions, or if indicators of criminal activity have been discovered, to hand over the cases to the Croatian State's Attorney's Office,” he explained.
