Serbian Police Director Milorad Veljovic has announced that new arrests will be made as a part of Serbia’s cooperation with Montenegro. He told Podgorica-based TV Vijesti that cooperation between Montenegrin and Serbian police forces would be example of “the best cooperation”. "More arrests to come in cooperation with Montenegro" Veljovic stressed that both Serbian and Montenegrin police had common problems and that their cooperation should be genuine. “I expect that persons wanted by Serbia will soon be arrested in Montenegro and those wanted by Montenegro arrested in Serbia,” the Serbian police director said and added that arrests based on recently signed extradition treaty had not stopped. He also pointed out that “Serbia will not hide anyone if it is in Montenegro’s interest to arrest them,” and that he was convinced that Montenegro’s position on Serbia was the same.
