Court sentences journalist attackers
Miloš Mladenović and Danilo Žuža have been sentenced to three months in prison for attacking journalist of Belgrade-based weekly Vreme Teofil Pančić.

Milos Mladenovic and Danilo Zuza have been sentenced to three months in prison for attacking journalist of Belgrade-based weekly Vreme Teofil Pancic. Mladenovic and Zuza were found guilty of violent behavior. They have been were released from custody, but are not allowed to leave their place of residence. Court sentences journalist attackers “Aside from that, a restraining order that prohibits them from coming within 100 meters of Pancic has been issued,” said First Municipal Court in Belgrade Spokeswoman Ivana Ramic. The assailants attacked the journalist in a Belgrade city bus, hitting him with their fists and metal bars on July 24. The criminal act of violent behavior, that Mladenovic and Zuza were convicted of, carry with them a sentence of six months to five years in prison. The pair, however, saw lenient sentences considering their young age and the fact that they had no prior convictions, said reports.
