The Serbian War Crimes Prosecution has received the lists of persons indicted or convicted of war crimes in absentia in Croatia. Serbian Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor Bruno Vekaric confirmed this for Tanjug on Wednesday. Prosecution receives lists of Serbs convicted in Croatia The lists are a state secret and they cannot be revealed to the public. The proceedings instituted before the Croatian judiciary at the order of the State Attorney's Office are now brought before the District Courts, Vekaric said. According to him, the total number of persons indicted or convicted of war crimes has been reduced from 2,000 to less than 1,000. Regional cooperation and the envisaged talks with Croatia will most probably result in a revision of the number of such persons, Vekaric added.
