A Cukaricki Stankom football club player is under arrest for hitting a spectator at a game, police say. Nebojsa Joksimovic, 28, is currently in 48-hour police custody, Serbian police (MUP) in Jagodina stated. Footballer arrested for assaulting fan The incident took place on Saturday evening, shortly after the game in Jagodina, between the local side and Cukaricki. Both clubs compete in Serbia's top football competition, the SuperLiga. Joksimovic allegedly jumped into the stands over the protective fence to hit Dragan Pencic, 53, of Jagodina. Joksimovic is facing charges of "violent behavior at a sports venue".

The incident took place on Saturday evening, shortly after the game in Jagodina, between the local side and Čukarički. Both clubs compete in Serbia's top football competition, the SuperLiga.

Joksimović allegedly jumped into the stands over the protective fence to hit Dragan Penčić, 53, of Jagodina.

Joksimović is facing charges of "violent behavior at a sports venue".
