Macedonia extradites suspected killer
Macedonia has extradited Mehmet Ukisini to the Kosovo judiciary on Tuesday afternoon, Priština media reports.

Macedonia has extradited Mehmet Ukisini to the Kosovo judiciary on Tuesday afternoon, Pristina media reports. He has been accused of committing war crimes in the province when he killed two Serbs. Macedonia extradites suspected killer Ukisini, who is Orhahovac native, was arrested in Macedonia in October last year, after Serbia issued an arrest warrant for the murder of two Serbs in the village of Brestovac, Orahovac municipality, in 1999. Ehat Miftari, who is chief of an office dealing with extraditions with the ministry of justice, confirmed the extradition. "After forming the extraditions sector on March 31, 2009, we immediately sent a request to the Macedonian state for his extradition to Kosovo. Macedonian authorities accepted that request and he has been transferred to Kosovo, where he awaits a court decision," said Miftari.
